Stanley Stewart was just a farm boy from Georgia with big dreams. When Hyperion crash landed on Earth he brought along with him the Retro-Virus. The virus spread across Earth and gave various people super powers. For years Stanley hid his powers in secret while training to one day become a super hero.
When he began his hero career he gained the nickname Atlanta Blur or The Blur of Atlanta. He was approached by a a group of television executives at some point. They offered him a lot of money to become the spokesman for several companies as well as the star of some television shows. He couldn't help but accept and quickly rose past Atlanta and became one of the most well known heroes in the United States.
Eventually he's approached by Nighthawk who tells him he's become a fool. Nighthawk believed that Stanley had given up on his dream of becoming a hero in return for temporary fame and fortune. Nighthawk's words got to him and he took a break from the entertainment world so that he could form a team with Nighthawk and Hyperion. The three of them worked together to track down and put a stop to a serial killer who target people with super powers.
Afterwards they continued to work together for a while. That changed when Blur heard Nighthawk call him a house nigga. When confronted Nighthawk didn't deny it and left the team, refusing to apologize. After it was revealed Hyperion was an alien the US Government began offering amnesty to people with super powers that would work for them. Blur accepts and continues working with Hyperion.
The President of the United States was forced to acknowledge the team after the press began leaking information given to them by Hyperion. He called the team Squadron Supreme and announced their first mission. The team would go to Africa and take out a warlord named John M'Butu who could force people to obey him using only his voice.
During their fight five African Super-Humans come and stop the fighting. Three of them murder M'Butu while two ask the Squad to leave Africa. One of them senses Blur is uneasy and tells him that he's still a good person. Their next mission is to stop some radicals in Iran. The team enters Iran and quickly butchers them all. He wonders if what they did was right and Hyperion shows him the mass graves that the radicals had buried their victims in.
When the team is given some down time Blur first goes home to check on his mother. He learns that all of his sponsors have dropped him due to his involvement with the Squad. Realizing that Nighthawk was right he goes to Chicago and catches Nighthawk while he's beating a pimp. He asks Nighthawk to join the team to keep them under control trusting that Nighthawk would be able to say no to the government. Nighthawk refuses stating that he cares about fixing crime in Chicago and not solving the rest of the world's problems.
The Squad continues working together and on one occasion battle a version of the Squad from an alternate Earth. However, the end comes for them when their Earth is destroyed by The Cabal to avoid an incursion. Stanley died with only Nighthawk finding a way to survive.
