Hey, it's Darrell. The other day Jaz released a video discussing his top 7 Naruto characters because 7 is the number of completeness or he doesn't like even numbers. I didn't like his top 7 so I thought I'd hit you with my top 7 because that's how I retaliate.
7. Sakura Haruno: Here's a spoiler, I didn't include Naruto or Sasuke in this list but I included Sakura. That's crazy right? Wrong. Sakura may seem like she doesn't have any character development because she's madly in love with Sasuke throughout the series. She may not be as strong as Hinata but I still put her in the list. Kakashi told her she'll never be as strong as Naruto or Sasuke so she compensate in other ways. She's the best medic in the series now. She healed the whole army. Nobody else could do that. Give that woman her respect or get a headbutt of doom. In the first half of the series she was reluctant to fight at times. In the second half of the series she basically says "I don't know who this Sasori guy is but we're gonna go in here and kill him. Don't look at me crazy Naruto, I said we're killing him." She's secretly a cold blooded killer like Sasuke. That's why they go well together.
6. Zabuza Momochi: I know what you're saying. "He was the first real villain, he's weak." No he's not. Did you see him in the war putting in work? You're forgetting that during his appearance he was trying to protect Haku, complete his mission, got screwed over and fight of Kakashi. Odd were stacked against he. He's also one of the legendary swordsmen and you don't get that by being subpar. Zabuza also showed the villains weren't going to be heartless monsters. At the end of the day Zabuza was just doing his mission and trying to protect Haku. Don't give me that lovers crap either, Zabuza took in Haku as a son. After killing everyone in his class Haku was the first person he cared about and felt that saving him would be redemption. That explains why he temporarily lost his will to fight after Haku died. Even so, Zabuza took out a ton of people with him
5. Hinata Hyuga: Hinata was a punk. Neji was just picking on her like she was the annoying cousin with a slight mental deficiency. She got it together and came back and put the palms on people, in Naruto's honor and he didn't even acknowledge her until chapter 699. That's that crap. Hinata didn't get any respect. Hinata was one of the only people standing up to help Naruto against Pain. I'd like to point out Kakashi was basically dead during this. Naruto is just going to fawn over Sakura like Hinata wasn't laying her life on the line for him. Hinata was also in the war beating people down. I give Hinata props for being a warrior princess. Ino learned some medicals stuff, Sakura was a medic and Ten Ten was picking up tools she knew she wasn't going to use. Hinata was out there asking "Who want these palms." Also, he dream came true and you can't knock that. Unless you're one of those douchebags sending Kishimoto threats or signing the petition because Sakura didn't end up with Naruto. You need to grow up.
4. Shikamaru Nara: This is going to be a drag. Shikamaru wasn't even that strong, but he was the smartest. Did anyone outsmart him? He gave up in the Chunin Exam and still was the only person that passed. He's also a killer. Technically he didn't kill Hidan but he buried him alive in a hole so deep in his family's forest nobody would ever find him. Shikamaru wasn't afraid to do what other characters wouldn't. Shadow Clone Jutsu is cool but Shadow Possession? That's just crazy. You think you've won and then you can't move and realize he's trapped you with a shadow from behind and you're wondering how. Then you see he's wound his shadow around the block, through three trees, down a hole, out of a cave, made it do a cartwheel and then finally captured you. Then he slowly strangles you with a shadow. Man, that's a drag.
3. Asuma Sarutobi: If I told you a Sarutobi would make this list you wouldn't assume it was the awesome Asuma. Asuma just chilled the first half of the series. Then you found out he was the Hokage's son. He was an accomplished war general. He had taken out countless high priority targets, was one of the 12 Ninja Guardians and had a bounty. All that and Asuma still managed to just chill out in the first half without causing any trouble. Can we also admit that the chakra blades he carries are awesome? Adding to his awesome repertoire is his Thousand Armed Murder technique. Also,only one child was born during the series that didn't happen in chapter 700 so you have to think Asuma's child is some kind of messiah. I say child because it's supposed to be a girl but looks like a boy in the last chapter.
2. Kakashi Hitake: Do I really need to explain this? He's a better Uchiha than most of the Uchiha in the series and he's not even an Uchiha. If they were so great they wouldn't have been wiped out by Itachi. Not Kakashi. He faced off with Itachi and walked out with a bad dream. Anything an Uchiha can do Kakashi can do better. He really should have been hokage. Tsunade was important because she brought back the importance of medical ninja and that played a huge part in the war but lets be real. Kakashi shouldn't need 700 chapters to be hokage. It's crazy because even without his sharingan at the end he still has access to the thousands of techniques he's copied. He's just breaking out perfect Susanoo because he can. He's also died and come back. Nobody else did that.
1. Jiraiya: Well, he died. But he died an amazing sacrifice. Jiraiya was just awesome and influenced an entire generation of Ninja more than some of the hokage. He was also a pretty good teacher. Sure he goofed off a lot and was a pervert but who isn't a pervert in this series? When the time came Jiraiya was always ready to throw down with some incredible jutsu. In the end Jiraya died giving the world a chance to survive the war and not be ambushed. He also made sure that he wouldn't be resurected. He had the foresight to throw his body in the ocean because he knew it was coming. He was also the only one who somehow kept Orochimaru in line. Also, he's got one name like Prince.
